Preparing Your Poster

Text on poster

  • The poster should be readable from a distance of 8 feet (2.5 mtrs). This means that all lettering should be at least 32 Pt.
  • Please print your title on the top of the poster board. It should state the title of the presentation and the name(s) and affiliations(s) of the author(s).
  • The title should be at least 80 Pt.

Graphs and diagrams

  • Graphs and figures should be readable from a distance of 8 feet (2.5 mtrs).
  • They should be drawn with a minimum line width of 0.4 inch (1cm)

At the Congress

It should be emphasized that the WGC has purposely chosen scientific posters as the major mode of free, original presentations at the congress. Posters are an excellent and important way of providing scientific information.

General Information

  • One poster board will be allocated for each poster presentation.
  • A printed number identifying each poster board will be provided.

Location

  • Posters will be displayed in the Poster Area, which is located in the exhibition hall of the Messukeskus Helsinki, Expo and Convention Centre

Poster mounting and taking down

  • Posters will be on display for two days (Wednesday and Thursday, or Friday and Saturday)
  • Posters should be mounted according to the schedule below
  • During lunch breaks, poster presenters are asked to be present at their poster board to answer questions and provide information to interested colleagues
  • Assistance and material for mounting the posters will be available from set-up time (see below), at the poster desk, located in the Poster Area.
  • Posters that have not been taken down by the author(s) will be removed and destroyed by the WGC Congress Organizer

Poster upload

It is possible to upload your poster in order to have it published on the World Glaucoma Congress. As soon as your poster is finalized and ready for printing you can upload your poster here.
